The commission was inspired by treasured memories of travelling through the Far East.
Rather than recreating a particular place exactly as it was, the intention was to capture how these journeys felt, the colour, atmosphere, sense of adventure and wonder.
The Making
We explored the memories behind the travels and translated them into colour, texture, imagery and carefully layered paper.
Each element was thoughtfully composed to evoke the feeling of discovery and the richness of a lifetime of travel.

The finished artwork became more than a landscape.

A Beloved Pet
A treasured photograph became a handmade reminder of a much-loved companion.
The Story
A much-loved dog, captured in a favourite photograph, became the starting point for a very personal Christmas gift.
The aim wasn't simply to recreate a photograph but to capture the character of a beloved companion and create something that would always bring him to mind.
The Making
Working from the treasured photograph, we translated his expression and personality into our signature layered collage style.
Carefully chosen papers, painted textures and subtle details were brought together by hand, with every layer considered to capture the character of this much-loved pet.
The Home
Finished with a soft sage ground and thoughtfully framed, the artwork was designed to sit beautifully with the client's home.

This commission was created in memory of a much-loved family member, captured their presence in something quiet, beautiful and deeply personal.
The Making
Created by hand in our studio, we built the artwork through layers of carefully chosen papers, colour and texture.
The butterfly became the heart of the composition, surrounded by delicate botanical details and thoughtful touches chosen to reflect the feeling behind the story.
Rather than trying to recreate a person literally the artwork was about creating a sense of them, something quiet, beautiful and deeply personal.
The Home
The finished artwork was designed to sit naturally within the client's home, with the colours chosen to complement the space around it.
But its meaning went beyond the room.
It became a daily reminder of someone loved and remembered.
A Favourite Animal
Sometimes the things we love simply deserve their own artwork.
The Story
Sometimes a commission doesn't need a big occasion behind it.
Sometimes you simply really, really love something.
For this commission, the starting point was a client's favourite animal-the wonderfully distinctive red panda.
She wanted us to capture its character in our signature collage style, while weaving in some of the little details that make our artwork uniquely ours.
The Making
Working from her chosen image, we built the red panda by hand using layers of painted papers, textures and carefully selected fragments.
We also incorporated hidden words and dictionary definitions relating to the panda, creating little discoveries within the artwork for the eye to find.
The Home
Once finished the artwork was framed and placed within the client's home, where the character of the red panda could be enjoyed every day.

How long does a commission usually take?

Every collage is built layer by layer, allowing space for ideas to develop naturally and every carefully chosen detail to find its place.
Most commissions are completed over several weeks, depending on the complexity of the artwork and the current studio schedule.
Throughout the journey we'll keep you updated, so you'll always know how your story is unfolding.
Can I choose the size?
Every commission is created around both your story and the home it will become part of.
Whether you're looking for a statement piece or something more intimate, we'll help you choose a size that feels beautifully balanced within your space.

Will I be involved throughout the creative process?
Absolutely. As much as you would like it to be.
Some clients arrive with a clear vision and enjoy being involved throughout the creative journey. Others prefer to share their story, then leave the artistic interpretation in our hands.
Whichever approach feels right for you, we'll keep you updated at key stages, ensuring your artwork reflects both your story and our craftsmanship, while making the experience enjoyable, collaborative and reassuring from beginning to end.
What happens once I decide to go ahead with the commission?
Once we have discussed your ideas, artwork requirements and agreed the details of your commission, we'll provide a personalised quote and commission agreement. Once these have been approved and any agreed deposit has been received, we'll begin bringing your artwork to life.

Absolutely. In fact, many of our commissions begin as gifts.

Every commissioned artwork is supplied mounted as standard, giving you the freedom to choose a frame that complements both your artwork and your home.
If you would prefer your piece to arrive ready to hang, we are happy to arrange professional framing for an additional cost. We'll recommend framing options that enhance your artwork and suit the space it has been created for.

Do you work internationally?
Yes.
We are delighted to create commissioned artworks for clients both within the UK and internationally.
Every artwork is carefully wrapped and packaged by us in the studio to ensure it arrives safely. We use a tracked delivery service, with shipping costs calculated separately based on the artwork's size and destination.
If you are based outside the UK, we'll be happy to discuss delivery times, shipping options and any additional information you may need before the commission begins, ensuring the process is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A 50% deposit secures your place within our studio schedule and allows us to begin researching, designing and creating your bespoke artwork.
The remaining balance is payable once your artwork has been completed and approved, before it begins its journey to you.
As every commissioned artwork is created exclusively for you and cannot be resold, the deposit is non-returnable and completed commissions are non-returnable.
We currently accept payment by bank transfer and PayPal. If you have any questions at any stage we're always here to help.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated separately and depends on the size of the artwork and its destination.
Every commission is carefully wrapped by hand in our studio before being sent using a fully tracked and insured delivery service. We'll always confirm shipping costs before requesting your final payment so everything is clear and there are no unexpected surprises.
