Every Story Starts Somewhere
For us, it often starts with something most people might overlook.
A scrap of paper.
A torn piece of an old book.
A fragment of pattern.
A colour that catches our eye.
A painted piece left behind from another idea.
We have always loved the things that might otherwise be discarded.
Because every scrap holds possibility.
It just needs someone to notice it.
Sometimes, it is the smallest detail that changes everything. Inspiration can be found in the most unexpected places. From fragments and references, something begins to take shape.
From Scraps to Something Unexpected: Creating Collage Art Prints
There is something wonderfully satisfying about taking pieces that were never meant to belong together and discovering that somehow, they do.
A piece is cut.
Another is torn.
Colours are placed beside one another.
Layers are moved, removed and rearranged.
A tiny fragment might become an eye.

This is something we have come to understand more and more about the way we work.
An idea rarely wants to remain just one idea.
A character begins to emerge.
Then another.
A colour leads somewhere unexpected.
A phrase sparks another thought.
A feeling becomes a picture.
And before long, one piece has opened the door to an entire world.
That is where our collections begin.
They aren't simply groups of collage art prints brought together because they look good beside one another.
They are collections of ideas, feelings and characters that belong together.
Each has its own little world to explore.
Woodland Friends
A moment to pause, look closer and notice 
Some characters have a way of making you stop and look. 
Every feather, fragment and layer is placed by hand
One animal can become a little reflection of a person.
Our Woodland Friends began with our love of animals- and with the memories that sit behind them.
Grandad taught us to look high and look low.
To notice what was hiding in the hedgerow.
To watch.
To wait.
To see the personality in the creatures around us.
And perhaps that is why our animals have never felt like simply animals to us.
We see something of ourselves in them.
A little curiosity in a fox.
Thoughtfulness in a hare.
Wisdom in an owl.
A cheerful spirit in a duck.
And sometimes, when we look at one of them, we think of someone we know.
That is the joy of Woodland Friends.
The animal becomes a little reflection of a person.
A way of saying:
This reminds me of you.
This is how I see you.
This is something I love about you.
A simple animal can become a surprisingly meaningful gift.
Stories to Live By
A little ritual worth making time for. 
Because some moments are worth slowing down for. 
When art and flowers come together, a story unfolds.
Then there are the stories that aren't necessarily about a person.

The things we notice.

We began exploring the idea of family through animals because there is something wonderfully natural about it.
A collection of ducks can become brothers and sisters.
Bunnies can represent the little personalities within a family.
Squirrels can become a playful reflection of the people we know best.
And suddenly, an animal isn't simply an animal anymore.
It becomes a reflection.
Perhaps you recognise yourself.
Perhaps you see your children.
Perhaps you see your sister, your mum or your dad.
Perhaps you see the whole family together.
And that is what makes this collection so personal.
It isn't about creating a literal family portrait.
It's about capturing the feeling of belonging to one.
The relationships.
The characters.
